Cornell mock trial competition

The results of these invitational tournaments do not have an effect on national standings, though are great practice. Then beginning in February, Cornell Mock Trial sends its three teams to the regional competitions.

Participation in the mock trial program is open to all Cornell students, regardless of academic major or prior mock trial experience. Auditions for the Cornell Mock Trial team are held the second week of classes in the fall. Exact dates and times will be announced prior to the start of classes via posters and e-mail. Anyone who is looking to meet new people and get involved in a highly competitive intercollegiate speech competition is welcome to audition. Adding a national pandemic brings a pile of new challenges, but by open-mindedly approaching it in the same way as taking a semester course in 18 days, it can be done and in a successful way.
