Problem with synthetic oils, there are certain chemicals that actually brake down components faster than regular oils and lubricants, such as gaskets, seals, etc. And as a thought, not even race cars of any type or class use synthetic oils before, during or after racing, so why would you want to put it in you BMW?

There's a lot of misconceptions out there about synthetic oil. TV commercials don't do justice to the racing world, or your car for that matter, when they say, "The BMW F1 team uses synthetic oil and so should you!
