Post by linko » When I use that, it ends up telling me that I've run out of space, becuase that ends up making several partitions. I believe that how to only works for the net-inst version. I've tried it several times. It's an 8 gig flash drive. That how-to also never mentions where to get the. I've only found them in the etch section.

Tiag » Hum, the "zcat" should have overwritten the whole usb stick with just a fat16 file system. At least that is what happened on mine.

Have you tryed wiping the usb stick clean and then re-formatting the whole thing as fat16? I done at the office now, so I'll be away from a computer for a few hours. When I get home I'll give it a try again on my usb stick and let ya know what happens.

Post by linko » Yeah, I think i'll blank it with dd. The filesystem seems a little boogered up. Let's see what happens. First download the debian installer image not the live one from the website. Then burn the installer to another usb using rufus windows When booting from the usb, choose rescue mode. Select Abort installation in there and thats it. Thats how i did it and it worked for me.
