How to create a pdf from a visio document
Microsoft Visio is one of the most popular software packages for creating diagrams, charts and drawings. However, Visio saves files in a proprietary format that can be opened by very few computers provided that the Visio program is installed.
This is one of the reasons why the files saved in the Visio format should be converted to PDF which is much wider recognized. Most often a certain project involves several drawings, as well as charts and diagrams. To combine them all into one document may be a good solution for organizing the project documentation in a proper way. After this all the drawings you intend to print on Universal Document Converter will be appended to the PDF file you selected in the Output location area.
The necessity to limit the access to the information saved as a Visio file is pretty frequent, but the Visio file itself cannot be password protected directly and requires conversion to a different format, i. Copyright protection is essential for all sorts of documentation. The PDF comes out wrong in-between scaling changes! The computer needs to be rebooted each time scaling is changed for the PDF files to come out right. I normally use a 23 inch desktop monitor at home to remote connect to the laptop and use it that way for better productivity. That's what I was doing the first time when the PDF came out wrong.
I later picked up the laptop and singed into it locally at work and the scaling changed again, but I had not rebooted at the time. So there we have it! This solution will have to work for me until I get a bigger laptop that doesn't use stupid display scaling. I would have expected it to come out right. But if each scaling change requires a reboot of the remote computer, then there is no way around it when using remote desktop. So the remote connection to the laptop becomes useless this way.
It's all just a mess! The best solution is to completely stay away from computers that use display scaling. Can you explain the steps you are taking to change the "display scaling"? I've struggled with this problem extensively. Thanks to this thread I have a solution which does not require restart of my computer. When I leave my laptop running and undock and redock I can no longer get PDF files to save as without the right side and bottom being chopped off.
Page range: all Color as black: no Include background: yes Include non-printing information: document properties: yes Include non-printing information: document structure tags for accessibility: yes PDF options: ISO no These should be all default settings, I have not changed any of these.

Why it got that small?
Nobody knows For the time being, I am using PNG file type for sharing my drawings. How do I check in Adobe Acrobat if the drawing is cut off or not? In reply to A. User's post on October 7, Hi Samir, Can you explain the steps you are taking to change the "display scaling"? Eric Hepperle. In reply to EricHepperle's post on December 3, I solved this issue by exporting the PDF on my laptop instead of through my 23 inch monitor. There appears to be a weird rendering issue with Adobe.
This problem was driving me crazy for a very long time, thank you for solving it!
